Cold Weather Coziness with Ethyl Clothing
It is that time of year when the weather in Northern New York just turns kind of crummy. While the fall foliage is absolutely stunning up here, it lasts for a very short period of time and before we know it we are buried in snow until some time in May. And as you are all probably well aware by now, I get so damn stinking cold when the temperatures drop below 50. I honestly don’t know how I am going to survive this winter if we hit our typical temperatures of 20 to 40 degrees below zero.
When Ethyl Clothing invited me to try out some of their fall pieces, I quickly decided on some of the warmest things I could find. I chose the Alyssa-Madison Jeans which are a super soft denim lined in a lightweight plaid flannel which peaks out in the most adorable manner if you cuff the hems. To pair with these fun jeans, I also chose the Mallory-Emersyn Sweater which is crafted from a super soft, plush fleece that feels very much like the coziest throw blanket you have ever wrapped around yourself.
If you are not familiar with Ethyl Clothing, let me share some background. The company was founded by Kathy and Alan Shultz over 30 years ago and they continue to design the line themselves. Ethyl Clothing is currently distributed to and sold in over 3,000 independent boutiques in the United States. The Ethyl Clothing line is designed as a vanity sized brand, meaning the clothing is sized one size larger than a standard fit. All of the fabrics used in production of Ethyl Clothing are hand selected by Alan himself and manufactured in China. Originally, Ethyl Clothing was designed with a younger demographic in mind, but the brand continues to progress and develop with their customer base.
Ethyl Clothing takes pride in the time spent in selecting quality fabrics to create quality clothing with a superior fit for real women. With its main office and warehouse based in Seattle, this company holds itself to a higher standard as it continually strives to provide exceptional customer service to both its retail and wholesale customers. Not wanting to undersell the retail stores that carry the brand, Ethyl Clothing does not offer discounts to direct sale customers. However, they do offer free shipping on orders over $99 with a prepaid postage return label in every package that will allow you to process exchanges and returns with ease.
So far, my experience with Ethyl Clothing has been a very pleasant one. I am so really quite happy with the quality and style of the products that I received. Each item is also assigned a softness score so you know ahead of time what level of luxury to be prepared for! I cannot stress enough how incredibly soft and flexible these items are, not to mention so incredibly warm. I think I may have found a solution to these dreadful cold flashes that have been tormenting me! I suspect this sweater will be on constant repeat all fall and winter long. And it is comfortable enough for lounging in as well! Seriously, go check out this brand. It is really quite fabulous!
Am I the only one who gets so dreadfully cold in the winter? Please give me all the super soft, warm, cozy, and stylish clothing!
Keeping it on the edge,
Shelbee

Thanks so much, Kellyann! A warm drink and movie time sounds so fabulous right now! But alas, I must head out into the gloomy rain once again and face the obligations of the day! But at least I’ll look cute doing it!

I get cold in the Winter but somehow love Winter more than Summer. I am a bit odd. Hehe 🙂 We also don’t have those beautiful Autumn leaves yet where we live so can I just say how stunning those leaves are in your photos. I love the plaid hem on your jeans. It’s so different than your standard denim and it’s cool that it has that unique factor. Those patent red booties are of course fabulous too! They were the first to attract my eyes and it’s a nice pop of color to your outfit. Happy Thursday Shelbee and I hope your day is going well so far.

Maureen, thank you so much, my friend! I do love the beautiful fall foliage here, but it so so short lived. I am like you in that I like winter way more than summer even though I do get super cold. And I will take the snow over this dreadful rain any day. I hope you are having a wonderful week!

Great outfit Shelbee! Loving those jeans! I am very rarely cold, as I run super hot. When I do get cold, I wonder what’s the matter with me! Except for my hands and feet, they get cold easily. The rest of me is always hot, so maybe I should move to Vermont. I’d be comfy there.
Have a great day!

Thanks so much, Susan! I honestly don’t know which is worse…being too hot or too cold. I guess at least when I am cold, I can just keep adding layers. But when you are too hot, you can only take off so many things…and if you are naked and still too hot, I have no idea what you do then! You should move to Vermont. Or Northern New York.
