This rag valance began with scraps from “Patchwork Shelbee”, this Frankendress, and this kimono improvement. First I used the scraps to make a raggy basket hanging thing that I called “Fire on the Mountain”. I love the beautiful bold fiery colors but the hanging thing annoyed me. I had an empty planter in it but wasn’t sure if I could actually plant something in it that needed watering. I imagine that could result in the fabric scraps getting all wet and icky.
