Taking a Blogging Break in Lake Placid & Link Up On the Edge #92
I have been running on nearly empty for quite some time now, pondering and battling with myself whether or not I should take a little blogging break. I love blogging. Sharing my thoughts, my philosophical wonderings, my fashion choices, and everything in between brings me so much joy every day. Reading your comments and your blog posts sends me inspiration when I need it most. I really do love every second of my job. But alas, I am exhausted and it finally hit me hard yesterday…just in time for an already planned girls’ weekend getaway. I had hoped to have scheduled posts ready to go before I left for the…

Camo Booties with Gooseberry Red & Link Up On the Edge #90
I have been wanting camouflage booties ever since I saw Cherie of Style Nudge showcase these Jeffrey Campbell Siren Booties in her Shoe and Tell Link Up back in November. While I still want these exact booties in the camo, I opted for this open toed version since Spring should be here soon. But since Spring weather did not arrive with the Spring Solstice, I had to wear socks with my open toed shoes. *This is not a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. And after checking out the Nordstrom link to the Jeffrey Campbell booties, I saw that they come in these other amazing patterns, so…

Keeping Perspective & Link Up On the Edge #89
I want to start out by thanking all of you so much for the wonderful comments that you shared on my post about the hacking issue. As I stated in that post, I was overwhelmed by how many people stepped forward to my aid when the problem with my website surfaced. I very much wanted to share the story with you all because there is always good to be found in issues like these. And the good that I found clearly was the willingness of so many people to help out another just for the sake of being kind. And that now leads me to the topic of keeping perspective.…

On Beneficence & Link Up On the Edge #88
Many of you may already know that my website was hacked this week which resulted in my having to pull the entire site offline until the issue was resolved. Clearly, it has been resolved and I am back up and running as if nothing had ever happened. Except I probably have a few more gray hairs and I may have lost a few pounds from lack of food consumption during the incredibly stressful past few days. I want to properly thank all of the people who were involved in fixing the problem, but I am going to save that for my Tuesday #SpreadTheKindness Link Up…because it is a perfectly suited topic…

How to Style a Spring Dress in the Bitter Cold & Link Up On the Edge #87
This is my final post for my collaboration with EvaTrends and I have been waiting to share this dress because it has just been too darn cold to photograph a lightweight Spring dress. But it had to be done. So I put it on, layered it up, snapped some photos, and nearly froze to death. *This is a sponsored post. This dress was provided to me for purposes of this blog post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. *Dress: Swan Print A-Line Dress c/o EvaTrends. The dress is super cute and flowy and will be perfect for a warm day due to its loose fit and…

My Week in Review & Link Up On the Edge #86
I just got back from a whirlwind trip to the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. I have to be honest…I am so beat! I left Saturday morning and drove to visit my dear friend, Hallie, in northern New Jersey. I have not seen in her in probably 14 years and it was so great to catch up. She is a fellow fashionista and we just had a blast talking about everything from the business of style to parenting, marriage, relationships, moving, life goals, midlife, and everything in between! We covered a lot of ground in 6 hours. I am so excited that she has moved back…

Inspired by Not Dead Yet Style & Link Up On the Edge #85
So I got this dress from EvaTrends and when I first put it on, I did not look like the model in the product images. Not even close. In reality, I suppose I did not actually expect that I would look anything like the model but I guess I was just kind of hoping I would be so cute. I wasn’t. So I took it off and hung it at the front of my closet waiting for inspiration to hit. *This is a sponsored post. This dress was provided to me for purposes of this blog post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. Knowing that I…

Keeping Cozy with EvaTrends & Link Up On the Edge #84
Do you remember my wish list post a few weeks ago when I introduced a new brand collaboration with EvaTrends? I shared a bunch of adorable pieces that are on my wish list and today I am featuring the first one of three items that they sent to me for review. *This is a sponsored post. This kaftan dress was provided to me for purposes of this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. *Dress: Moonlight Dance Tassel Kaftan Dress in Coffee c/o EvaTrends. Available in 2 colors. I know Spring is just around the corner and she keeps stopping by for brief visits every few…

Strong Like Me & Link Up On the Edge #83
If you missed my post last night, The Evolution of Love, you may want to hop back and read that now. Because that post triggered a pretty intense philosophical discussion with a very dear friend on the topic of strength and vulnerability which in turn inspired this post. And then this meme randomly appeared in my Instagram feed today… And of course, inspiration has this way of hitting me in the most unexpected ways. Actually this week, it has kind of been pelting me like a hail storm. I’m getting emotionally tired, in all honesty. Feeling a bit bruised and battered. But when the inspiration hits, no matter how exhausted…

Get BetterHelp and Find Your Happiness & Link Up On the Edge #82
I am very excited and so honored to be able to announce a new partnership here at Shelbee on the Edge. If you have been following me for some time or know me personally, then you are familiar with the story of my mental health journey which has brought me to this amazing place where I sit right now…healthy, happy, and ready to help others on their journeys in any way that I can. By sharing my story and all of it’s ugliness, all of my failures and dark places, and how I managed to save myself from that darkness, gives me the sense that my struggle was not in…
