The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Winter Coats & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up On the Edge #747

The gray days of January had us reaching for our scarves in February and now we are sharing our winter coats just before spring arrives.

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month.

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“Oh I love this teddy jacket a lot! This is my second one and I have been wearing these for years and years. This one is a bit worn out, think this was the last winter for it. So I will have to hunt for another one as these jackets are so ideal. Look good on anything, easy to cycle with, stylish, it has it all. Definitely a very Good Buy!”

“I actually inherited this winter coat from my grandmother years ago. She bought it for herself but I just loved it so much she happily gave it to me (she did that a lot with those rare clothing items we both liked). She always bought quality clothes that were so well made so any gift from her felt like a real splurge to me. Fast forward many, many years later and I just can’t justify keeping it anymore as I have lost so much weight the coat is swimming on me. I still love the color and the style–that back belting and hood and the dart seams in the front gave it great definition when it actually fit me. I know it doesn’t look nearly as big as it feels but if you look closely you can see it even swallows my hands now. It is definitely time to say good bye.”

“Severo found this vintage coat for me maybe in 2013? I have way too many winter coats for SoCal but this one’s a keeper.”

“This has been one of my favorite winter coats from ages ago. I wear it every year (although maybe only once a year now that we live in AZ) and I’m so glad I didn’t purge it when we moved out here. Leopard for the win!!”
