The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Sandals

Summer is for sandals. So with the solstice quickly approaching, let’s check out what you all have shared with us this month.

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book

The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.

Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month. 

If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post. If you don’t see your photo in either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions get lost in the shuffle.

“These are by far my most gorgeous sandals. Wood, cork and the softest leather! I don’t wear them often, not to say hardly, but these are display sandals really! A very Good Buy if it wasn’t that I choose them for a collaboration. I think these are so very cool. While writing this I’m thinking: I want to wear them now! Didn’t know the brand, Mjus, at that time. Since then I received another fabulous pair by that brand.”

“These bright blue peep toe ankle straps, with cork platforms I would consider a good buy. They have been a lot of fun to wear! I have enjoyed them in my spring and summer shoe wardrobe for ten plus years. Sadly, the buckles began to disintegrate and I had to retire them last year. Hope to find a similar replacement!”

“Sandal season is 6 months long here in Arizona, so I’ve added more and more to my collection. This pair is one of my favorites and not just a ‘good buy’ but a great buy. They are colorful, and because the ties and top portion is fabric, they are comfortable and cooler than leather. Plus they have a platform so they aren’t as tall as they look.”

“I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks in decades in a light gray felt with a furry lining to keep my perpetually cold toes a little warmer. I loved them so much that I bought a second pair in a darker gray. A few years later, I added dark green and brown ‘Furkenstocks’ to my summer shoe collection and still I am not satisfied. I want more colors! My old achy feet love the comfort of soft fuzzy Birkenstocks so much that both pairs of gray ones have become my daily house shoes. These lights gray ones were such a good buy that I wore them until the soles started coming off. I slapped some glue on those babies and they are still going strong!”
