The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book: Red/Pink for Valentine’s Day

Welcome to The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book!

This is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. A series that I co-host with Nancy where you can choose whether you want to share a Good Buy (which is an item you are really exited about) or a Good-Bye (which is an item you are going to say good-bye to, previously known as a Bad Buy). Every month you can choose which item you want to submit. A Good Buy or a Good-Bye. We will provide the theme for each month. Photos should be submitted to us by the 10th of the month with a few sentences explaining why it is a Good Buy or Good-Bye.

This month’s theme is Red or Pink for Valentine’s Day so get ready for a super festive scroll through some fabulous outfits in the colors of love. Thanks so much to all the wonderful people who have joined us to make this a fun little fashion look book for Valentine’s Day.

*If you sent me a photo, but do not see it in my post, be sure to check Nancy’s post! If you don’t see your photo on either post, please let us know right away and we will add it. Sometimes the submissions can get lost in the shuffle.

Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style

“I love pink and burgundy together, just like pink and grey. Therefore the grey ankle boots. When we choose this theme I went looking for my pink skirt, but I think I threw it away! Damn. I def need a new one! Love it! I am so inspired with all these fabulous outfits we received!”

“Another new buy is this cute skirt from Target. I had to try 3 sizes to find the right one then go back because it went in sale 30% the day after I bought it. Worth it!”

“If bright pink is your jam, here’s a blouse that’s been knocking around in my wardrobe for a few years…And should be featuring prominently in my Spring 2021 Capsule Wardrobe!”

Good buy! For years, I hated pink. Hated it. It was only after a few years of blogging and seeing other bloggers rock their pink that I came around and realized what an empowering and powerful colour it can be. Now, it’s one of my favourite colours!”

Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style

“This Target sweatshirt has a message that I hope we can remember more than just for Valentines Day!! I bought it as part of a Target buy collaboration with other women and we all styled it differently on Instagram. Any clothing is a good buy when it makes us want to be a better person!!!”

“This top was definitely a good buy! While I’m not certain it’s the most flattering style on me, it’s a fun top to wear with its flared sleeves and gathered empire waist.”

Salazar of 14 Shades of Grey

“I don’t wear a lot of pink or red, but I like them as accent colors, so both of my items are shoes. These are my pair of red sling backs.”

“This red pleated skirt is from Target, so the price was right and I have worn it again and again, making it a good buy for sure! The striped sweater, with pink and black stripes, is another older purchase from Target by WhoWhatWear. I wasn’t sure about it when I first styled it, but it turned out to be a keeper. I love the ruffles on the shoulders and it looks great with black jeans. So, both pieces are good buys!”

Anna of Looking Fabulous @ Fifty

“I am sharing a good buy, my button-less pink coat that I bought at the end of the winter season two years ago for a very good price and I am loving wearing it. It has perfect lengths, there is some volume about it and I love that it’s pale pink that goes well with everything.”

“This red dress is a good buy for summer and nights out to a nice restaurant (when we can go out).”

Rena of Fine Whatever

“This lassoing cowboy sweater is one that came back to me after being ‘borrowed’ by my daughter a few years ago. I bought it about 35 years ago and it’s definitely a good buy, just like my red striped dress.”

And me!

“I bought this red cowl sweater from Kohl’s about 5 years ago and I have worn it to death. It is by Jennifer Lopez and it has a tiny bit of sparkle in the thread. I love the oversized cozy feel and it’s super soft knit to keep me warm during these long winter months. This sweater was such a great buy that I also have it in lavender and charcoal.”

Shelbee

“Over the past few years I went crazy with colorful tights even though I was uncertain if I would wear them frequently. It turns out that I do wear them frequently especially the red ones! These came from Sock Dreams and are very comfortable as far as tights go. Good buy, for sure.”
