Snow Leopard with EvaTrends & Link Up On the Edge #122
Leopard print is one of those patterns that has become a staple and a requirement in every fashionista’s closet. Over the past few years I have really grown to love this particular animal print above all other animal prints. Although I am very fond of cow prints as well, but that is much more difficult to acquire on clothing and shoes. I suppose no woman really wants to be draped in a print that could possibly elicit comments such as you look like a cow. But I do very much crave a pair of fuzzy cow print boots for some reason. So if anyone ever spots such a thing, please let me know!
In the meantime, with no cow print accessories to speak of, I have landed myself this adorable black sweatshirt dress accented with the prettiest, flowiest, girliest leopard print trim I have ever seen. When EvaTrends reached out to me for a second collaboration, I did not hesitate to agree as I loved the 3 pieces I received from them in the spring. You can check those out below:

How to Style a Spring Dress in the Bitter Cold
Out of the three pieces I chose this time around, this dress was the one I was a little uncertain about the fit and style for me. The body of the dress is crafted from a heavy cotton sweatshirt material with no stretch and it fits me absolutely perfectly. Perfectly meaning if I gain just 5 pounds, it may not fit me any more! But the inside is super soft and warm. For a woman who requires multiple layers to survive this winter chill, I was warm all day long wearing just this one layer.
I had envisioned wearing red booties with the dress because red and leopard are such a classic combination. Then I remembered these suede booties in picante that were hiding unworn in my closet and they seemed exactly what the dress needed. Hesitatingly, I added my dark purple coat to take photos in the snow and the combination was magical.
So I give you orange, purple, and leopard…in the snow. Be prepared for lots of snowy pictures coming from me for the next 6 to 8 months. Because once the snow starts in the North Country, it doesn’t ever seem to want to leave! Stay tuned for my other two EvaTrends pieces coming to the blog soon as well!

I completely agree that the combination of colors works so well and looks great on you. Eva Trends is smart having real people model their clothing. On the website everything looks so oversized. P.S. I can’t believe it is so snowy where you live!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Kim! I agree about real women modeling the clothes. The first time I collaborated with them I was actually a little disappointed in the fit because the models are all so cute and waifish and the oversized pieces looked adorable on them. Not so much on me! But I made them work. Now that I know what to expect, I really do love their selections. The pieces are super unique, comfortable, and the quality is great. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend!

Thanks so much, Maria! I agree about EvaTrends designs. So many unique and fun ones to choose from. Brave or stupid is the question I ask myself! Haha. Hobbling around in the ice and snow on 4 inch heels. Sheesh. All for the sake of fashion! Have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks so much, Nancy! Get used to my snowy photos for they are here to stay until Spring! And the boots are actually orange…the color was called picante! Crazy right…that I have orange boots? I love them!

All right Snow Goddess, now you are just showing off! Grumble, Grumble…
I look like a bear, and you just tippy toe right by in your high heeled awesome boots!
How is this possible? It’s like the princess and the toad!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Oh my word, Susan! I may look like a snow princess or goddess or whatever you call me…in still photos! But you should see the lack of grace with which I hobble around on the ice in my pretty little high heeled boots! Perhaps we should start taking video for some comic relief! My entire life seems more like one huge comedy anyway. Ha. Thanks for always boosting my ego!

Looking very nice and perfect for the weather. Wow, that is a lot of snow. Sometimes I wish I lived in a place that snowed but I guess I will just deal with the rain. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks so much, Patrick! I will take the snow over the rain any day! I can always take photos in the snow, not so much in the rain! Have a great weekend.

Shelbee, you are the sweetest! Here I was just cruising your site – and then I see me! Featured! Talk about melt my little heart and make my day ❤️ Thank you
I adore your dress here – at first I thought it was a sweater over a skirt because of the unique cut! How fun! And from one snowed in blogger to another, I admire your tenancity for taking the winter blog shots! So beautiful

Angela, thanks so much! If I let a little snow deter me from photo shoots, I would have nothing to post from October until May! Hahaha. I live in a major snow belt so I just acclimate to snowy photo sessions. It was my pleasure to feature you. Thanks so much for joining my link up and inspiring us all. Have a fantastic weekend!

This is beautiful dress Shelbee. I love the leopard hem and the trumpet sleeves – so fun and unique. I would have never thought of purple but it does go very well with your color scheme and outfit. I am also always amused at how brands name their products. I could never quite name anything so creatively. I love your boots name Picante. I hope you are having a great day so far and wishing you a fabulous weekend ahead.

Thank you so much, Maureen! I was so excited to have orange boots but then I couldn’t figure out what to wear them with…until this dress arrived and orange boots seemed perfect! I always get a kick out of the names that brands give to their items, too! I hope you are well and have a wonderful weekend ahead of you.

I love how you styled this dress from Eva Trends! And the unexpected colors make the outfit all the more interesting. At first I thought you layered and was impressed to learn that the leopard was apart of the dress. So fun!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thank you so much, Chrissy! It would be a cool way to layer and I have a few sweatshirt dresses that I may not try to do just that with! Thanks for the idea! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Thanks so much, Kellyann! I hear you on the EvaTrends pieces. I do love them but they do look so much better on real women! The rain has washed most of the snow away this morning, but there is snow forecasted nearly every day this week. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
