Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Tulle & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #221

It has been a super crazy busy weekend so I never managed to get around to doing any of my blogging things. So let me take this moment to remind you all that it is time again to send in your photos for the Good Buy/Good-Bye Book. This month we are looking for your favorite (or least favorite) things crafted from Tulle.

But before we get there, let’s first quickly examine the nature of tulle.

Tulle is a stiff, lightweight, netted fabric that can be made from various fibers such as polyester, rayon, silk, or nylon with polyester being the most common fiber used. Tulle is mostly used for veils, gowns, and ballet tutus. Its name comes from the French city of Tulle that was a popular center for lace and silk production in the 18th century.

Tulle is a readily available material that can be found in a huge variety of colors. It is also an easy fabric to dye at home for customized colors of your tulle garments.

If you would like to join us with your favorite (or least favorite) Tulle things, please send us your photos with a brief description by May 10, 2021. Please feel free to submit two different photos for features on my blog as well as Nancy’s.

What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?

It is a monthly series that Nancy and I both publish on our blogs on the 15th of each month. Anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a short description explaining if the item was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to. You do not have to be a blogger to join. Anyone is welcome. We will give you the theme for the next month in each post. Photos will be due to us by the 10th of the month. So please join us for May by sending some photos and descriptions of your favorite Tulle pieces.

I do not have a lot of tulle in my wardrobe so I am going to save most of what I do have for the post on May 15th. But here is a quick look at two Tulle pieces that I do own…a black star printed dress and your basic black tulle midi skirt.
