Reminder: The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book-Scarves
We are celebrating Scarves for the February edition of The Good Buy/Book-Bye Book. Blanket scarves, skinny scarves, infinity scarves, wraps, shawls, cowls, snoods, neckerchiefs, or bandanas. Any swath of cloth that you can wear around your head, neck, or shoulders, you can call it scarf and share it with us! Heck, even a poncho would be classified in the scarf category!
But…when is a scarf not a scarf? When you don’t wear it around your head, neck, or shoulders! If you get creative, a scarf can be a sarong, a skirt, a top, a vest, a belt, a purse strap, or a hat band. A scarf can also be a tabletop runner, a Christmas tree skirt, a blanket, or a curtain. It all depends on your perspective and what you decide to do with your scarves!
What is The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book?
The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book is a monthly series hosted by Nancy of Nancy’s Fashion Style and myself. Every month, we invite you to share a photo or two of your Good (or Bad) Buy items that fit the stated theme. We ask that you also provide a short description explaining if the item you are sharing was a Good Buy or one that you will be saying Good-Bye to (formerly known as Bad Buys). Nancy and I will both publish a round up post featuring all of the submissions on the 15th of each month.
Remember anyone who would like to participate and be featured can send us their photos with a brief description via email. You do not have to be a blogger to join. You just need a camera and an email address! We will give you the theme for the next month at the conclusion of each post.
Everyone is invited to join us in February to share your favorite (or least favorite) Scarves. All you have to do is snap a photo or two and email us with a short description so you can be featured in our Good Buy/Good-Bye Book on February 15, 2025.
Scarves are my second favorite accessories (behind hats, of course), and I have a huge collection to prove it. I really cannot resist adding another scarf to my collection, especially when I go thrifting. Much of my scarf collection is preloved because you can find the best scarves in second hand shops for super duper cheap. Let me share some to inspire you to join us with your favorite (or least favorite) scarves!

If you would like to share your Scarves with us, please send your photos and descriptions to shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com or to info@nancysfashionstyle.com by the 10th of February so we can put you in the spotlight. You are welcome to send two photos if you’d like to be featured on both blogs.
*By joining The Good Buy/Good-Bye Book, you agree to receive a monthly reminder email for this series.
Keeping it on the edge,
Shelbee

Oh, I would love to try to put together something and join you gals for this prompt. Once upon a time, I had ooodles of scarves. But have purged many of them. Wore an Italian silk scarf the other day that my dad gave my mom when I was a little girl. In my book, it was a good buy because I am still wearing it all these years later.

Oh, I do hope you will join us for this one, Leslie! I would love to see that very special scarf from your father. I would definitely call that a good buy, too!

If I had a hat collection like yours, I would say scarves are my third favorite thing with the first being jewelry! Any time you need to let that beautiful purple hat fly away, send it west to Indiana! I am on the ball this month!

Oh my gosh, you crack me up! I don’t think I will ever part with this fabulous hat! But if I ever do, you will be the one to receive it!

What a fun and creative way to celebrate scarves! I love how you highlight their versatility beyond just neckwear. Looking forward to seeing all the unique ways people style and repurpose their scarves!

Thanks so much, Melody! Scarves really are the most versatile of all the accessories. I am excited to see what everyone shares for this prompt as well. Have a lovely weekend, my friend.
