Laughter, Luggage Carts & Link Up On the Edge #93

I dedicate this post to my fabulously creative, wonderfully quirky, brilliantly artistic, and fantastically goofy friend, Anne M. Bray of Spy Girl. Anne, I hope you appreciate how completely odd I really am.

For those of you know me personally and probably many of you who know me virtually, you most likely already know that I can have fun just about anywhere at any time under nearly any circumstances. I could have fun in an empty room by myself…now don’t let your minds go all perverted with that idea…but well, you know, I will just leave that one alone. Moving on…

One of my main philosophies of life is this: If you can’t laugh at everything, anything, and nothing at all, you are pretty much losing at life. But if you always have laughter, you are kind of winning all the way through this roller coaster journey. Nobody gets out of here alive. Nobody ever has. Nobody ever will. So having fun during the short time we are given in this life is quite essential to basically everything. If I am breathing, I am laughing. If I am living, I am goofing off. I don’t take too many things very seriously except the really important ones that are essential to sustaining life. And even those things I don’t take all that seriously either. You can’t take me anywhere without me making some kind of ridiculous scene. But still people like to take me places. Go figure. I’ll never understand.

And so Aimee took me to Lake Placid. But to be accurate, I actually took her to Lake Placid for her birthday. But she agreed to go with me knowing the kind of weird shenanigans I tend to pull. So it’s her own fault if she got even the tiniest bit embarrassed. Although I suspect she wasn’t really very embarrassed at all because she was laughing too hard for the majority of the weekend. Upon arrival at the Crowne Plaza, I very quickly became fascinated by the luggage carts. A strange fascination, for sure.  It’s not like I hadn’t seen or used a luggage cart before.  But for some reason, thinking outside of the box as I often do, the luggage carts took a new purpose this time.  And so an entire series of outfit photographs was born involving these miniature platforms on wheels.

I hope you have enjoyed this little bit of oddity from my weekend getaway! We did do many more fabulous things over the weekend, but the luggage cart photos definitely kept us supremely entertained. Possibly more entertainment than one would suspect such a mundane object could provide to two normally functioning adult women. But what does normal mean anyway? Luggage carts are fun!  And laughter is essential.
