Invest in Your Skin: Lumity Morning & Night Supplements
“Invest in your skin. It is going to represent you for a very long time.”
Linden Tyler
Our skin is a direct reflection of how we treat our bodies. If we are healthy, our skin will illustrate that we are healthy. If we are unwell, you can see it almost immediately on our skin. Our skin is our largest organ and it is required to sustain life, so we should practice the same level of care as we do to maintain good heart health, mental health, and physical health.
We take care of our bodies and our brains through various types of physical exercise, mindfulness activities, and intellectual stimulation. But we often tend to forget the importance of proper skin care for living a long, healthy, and happy life.
When Lumity reached out to me to see if I was willing to try their Anti-Aging Supplements, I was totally on board. I am not the best when it comes to consistently applying skin care products to my face, but taking a few pills daily, that I can do.
*This is a sponsored post. I received a one month supply of Lumity Morning & Night Supplements for purposes of this review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
Lumity was founded by a Cambridge University scientist and aging expert who created the first holistic supplement on the market that addresses all of the aging processes that are ongoing in our bodies. The resulting products are designed to deliver real benefits that can tangibly improve our daily lives.
Through a placebo-controlled, double-blind, two-cell clinical study, the following key benefits were shown when participants took the morning and night supplements for 12 consecutive weeks: circadian rhythm support and balance; healthy skin, hair and nails; vitality and brain health; healthy bones, joints, muscles, and teeth; immune support; protection against oxidative stress; metabolic and absorption support; reduced tiredness; and more energy and focus.
I received a one month supply of the Anti-Aging Supplements for purposes of reviewing the product. The starter kit comes with reusable glass bottles to hold your supplements and the supplements are contained in recyclable paper envelopes. I love the idea of the glass bottles as a much better alternative to the non-reusable plastic bottles of most other vitamins and supplements.
After one month of using Lumity Anti-Aging Supplements, here is what I noticed…my skin remained super soft and hydrated without aggressive moisturizing. I tend to have combination skin with an oily T-zone and I did notice a decrease in the oils while the suppleness stayed in tact. I have also noticed a decrease in the oils on my scalp as I have successfully transitioned to washing my hair once every 4 days. My hair is healthier, thicker, and softer even as I went to much less frequent washing.
I also experienced an increase in my energy levels later in the day. I tend to experience a mid-afternoon crash around 3:00 p.m., but I have found that I have a renewed energy that continues well into the evening hours thereby extending my productivity time.
“Lumity is an easy, low-commitment, two-step method, which simply requires taking three soft-gel supplements in the morning and three right before bed. These nutrient-rich powerhouse formulae are suspended in flaxseed oil, which allows superior bioavailability and a healthy dose of omega 3 essential fatty acids.”
Any skin care product that contains an adequate dose of flaxseed oil is bound to boost healthier skin as well as other immunities. I don’t know if you recall my prior success with flaxseed oil in treating cystic acne, but the story was recently published in Woman’s World Magazine. Adding Lumity supplements to my daily routine simply promoted all sorts of additional health benefits as stated above.
If you have been looking for an effective supplement to improve your skin health as well as your overall health, Lumity is offering my readers 20% off all products by using code LUMITYX20 at checkout.
How are you taking care of your skin and your overall health and well being?

I need to be better at doing more than just washing my face 2x a day 😬

Tamar, I never did much to my skin until I turned 40!

That’s a great result! Btw, I am now washing my hair once every 5 days and indeed my hair is much healthier, softer and more glowing!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks, Nancy! That is awesome that you can go 5 days between hair washing! My hair is super greasy by the 4th day so I have to wash it at that point!

Too bad those aren’t vegan! Flax oil has definitely helped me but not as good as it did for you!

Thanks for reading, Jennifer! Vegan would be better, wouldn’t it? I am glad that you at least had some decent results from flaxseed oil.

I probably should start looking at supplements! I haven’t even been taking a multi vitamin in a long while! I remember your post about flax seed and really need to add it to stuff when I bake!

I take the Shaklee multi vitamin which helps so much with my menopause symptoms as does that flaxseed oil. I have been ordering my flaxseed oil on Amazon recently rather than heading to the organic food store. It is way easier especially now. You can also make salad dressing with the flaxseed oil. Or add it to pretty much anything you want. Thanks for stopping by, Mireille!

Congratulations magazine star! Congrats on the feature! Lumity sounds very interesting. If I had known how much damage the tanning bed would do to my skin all those years ago – oh, how I wish I could have changed that! Thanks for sharing this with the Style Six!

Thanks so much, Kellyann! I was so excited over the magazine feature! You know, I have never used a tanning bed ever. And I rarely go in the sun in the past 20 plus years, so I guess that helps me at this point. Although I lived in the sun without sunscreen for the first 20 plus years of life.

First, many congrats on the article published in Woman’s World! Excellent! And yes, as I noticed that the night formula of Lumity had flaxseed as its primary ingredient, I remember your empirical testing with flaxseed oil. Well done, my friend!
I’ve been thinking a lot about supplements lately. The medical field has done well with Vitamin D in realizing that many people are deficient, and the RDA is too low. The recommended daily allowances were set to prevent obvious disease as opposed to the optimum amount needed for good health. For example, in my struggle for adequate treatment for my hypothyroidism, the doctor doesn’t simply want my Vitamin D in the normal range, but in the center of normal range, because it’s so critical to proper thyroid function. And this paragraph is about just one Vitamin! What’s going on with the rest of them?
Lastly, I love red, white, and black together. It’s such a dramatic color combination. Your outfit is fabulous! I love everything about it.
Thanks for sharing with Creative Compulsions!

Thanks so much, Michelle! Black, white, and red has been a favorite color combination of mine for as long as I can remember! And that is a crazy amount of information for just one vitamin! I will admit that I do not understand all of it and what we need vs. what we lack vs. what we get from food and/or supplements. But I am always willing to try new things and learn new information along the way!
