I Run On Coffee, Chaos, and Cuss Words with Bellelily
It’s a mom’s life, for sure, these days. Running on coffee, chaos, and cuss words.
With school starting last week in such a different way, there is definitely more chaos than ever before. With more chaos comes the need for more coffee and more cuss words. Seriously, I have the mouth of a sailor and my kids have picked up on way too much of it. But then again, it’s all just words anyway. If I have enough coffee, I don’t get as irritable about the little things…like when my kids use cuss words. Hey, at least they use them correctly and within context. So we have that going for us!
When I spotted this fun graphic tee from Bellelily, I immediately added it to my cart. You probably already know by now that I am a woman obsessed with quirky and witty graphic tees. But they must speak to me on a personal level. Like this one! You won’t ever catch me wearing a tee that makes a political or religious statement. You probably won’t ever see me in a tee about wine or beer or booze because I just am not much of a drinker. But if a tee has a sassy or silly message that speaks directly to me, then I find it difficult to resist adding it to my ever growing collection.
Not only did the silly (and true) graphic draw me in, but I love the deep red color and the space dyed fabric. I prefer v-neck tees so that was just another bonus. This tee shirt is lightweight and soft and washed perfectly just like my other graphic tees from Belleilily. For just $12.99, the I Run On Coffee, Chaos, and Cuss Words T-Shirt is a great bargain for all the wear it will get in the coming years.
Disclaimer: This shirt was gifted to me for purposes of this product review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
Now let’s get to the styling part…I had an image in my mind of pairing this shirt with a black tulle or pleated skirt and combat boots. I tried on two different skirts and they were just not working the way I wanted to. So I had to ditch that idea and think of something else.
I opted for a long straight black knit maxi skirt with my new to me combat boots that I recently found at my local Salvation Army Thrift Store. A denim jacket and minimal jewelry finished off this easy look that was perfect for a family day spent walking by the water in Clayton, New York.
Heading into fall and winter, I can definitely see myself wearing this tee shirt often. It will be great with a classic combination of jeans and a cardigan but would also look super cool under a blazer or paired with joggers. Of course, I cannot forget that tights weather is upon us reminding me how cute this tee will look with coordinated with a short skirt and colorful legs.
Graphic tees are such a great way to keep your simple basics fun and interesting and the styling options are nearly endless. Dress them up, dress them down, run errands in them, lounge in them, sleep in them. You just can’t go wrong with a cute graphic tee!
Bellelily has a huge selection of really fun ones! Most of their products are available in sizes Small through 3XL. For size reference, I am wearing a 3XL. Be sure to use my special code SOE10 at checkout for an additional 10% off all orders of $40 or more.
Are you a fan of graphic tees? How do you style them?
Stay tuned for more cute Bellelily tees coming soon!

I do love a tulle skirt with combat boots, but I think the maxi skirt captures the right feeling! And it suits you perfectly, as this is your style!

Nancy, thanks so much! Yeah, when I came downstairs in the first tulle skirt, Jeff told me he really liked it but was afraid it would not photograph well, so we snapped a few quick shots in the yard and he was right! My husband has gotten really good at his role as photographer and stylist! Haha.

Love that tee! I recently got a shopping bag from Home Goods that says “I run on coffee and dry shampoo.”

Thanks, Jennifer! That sounds like a a super cute bag! Except I don’t use dry shampoo so I probably wouldn’t use it! Haha. I like to keep my graphic messages true to me. I guess that makes sense, right? Have a fabulous day!

I love how you styled the tee! No cuss words here but my sis in law had to learn to be careful around the kids at our house! Love where you took the pics! Glad you all went on an outing and the backdrops are really pretty.

MIreille, thanks so much! You are definitely better off not cursing especially in front of the kids! Now I have to make a million corrections and make sure they know to keep their cursing limited to home! Oh the things they pick up on!

Looking nice and cuss words are interesting. Too many people have too many hang-ups about them. For me, it is weird how they are becoming more acceptable in society and TV and yet a certain segment of the population still thinks that there is something wrong with them and they are unholy. I would rather deal with someone who is real and authentic that some people who are trying to uphold an image.

Patrick, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on cuss words! I hear you. They are just words that someone assigned negative meaning to many generations ago! And I am a firm believer that a strategically placed curse word can have incredibly powerful effects as well. And not always negative ones. But you know, to each his own. Curse or don’t. It doesn’t make much difference to me!

I love it! I’ve been known to cuss like a sailor myself. LOL! Great styling too! It looks great with the long skirt. And yes, I can see that there are many options for future styling.

Michelle, thanks so much! The double standard in my house is that mommy curses all the time and then I yell at the kids when they use curse words! Haha. But they understand for the most part where and when it is completely inappropriate to curse. I hope!

I sooooo needed this shirt when our three boys were still at home and we were homeschooling! Or maybe when I went back to grad school… So many times! Now the coffee is decaf, chaos minimal (as long as Mama cooperates) and cuss words? Well… Let’s just say if I have more than one glass of wine, there’s no telling! Such a fun shirt! I’ll take joyful chaos anyday, though!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Aw, Liz, thanks so much for this fun comment! Joyful chaos is a such a great way to shift perspective, isn’t it? It has definitely been chaos here but there is so much joy around me that I can’t get too upset. Plus I have coffee. I just love tee shirts that make fun statements especially when they start interesting dialogues as well! I think I need to find a tee that says “Joyful Chaos” on it now!
