Hemp Hemp Hooray! New Underwear for the New Year & Link Up On the Edge #278
As the new year has just rolled on in, it’s a great time to update your underwear. Throw out the old and bring in the new! My underwear drawer gets the least attention of any other clothing storage space in my house. I tend to grow very attached to my favorite underwear, wearing them until they become a source of embarrassment were anyone else to ever see them. Those old comfy, stretched out granny panties have served me well for a while now but it is really time for a complete underwear makeover.
While I do keep some sexy lacy bits on hand for when sexy underwear are in order, I do prefer natural absorbent fibers against my private parts for my regular daily underwear. But that’s not to say my natural fiber absorbent underwear can’t still be sexy in their own right, does it?
Back in September, I was introduced to WAMA Underwear through a collaboration request and I was very excited to try their hemp and cotton panties and bralettes. “Hemp fabric is naturally anti-bacterial, with anti-odor properties. In my first order from WAMA, I received the boy shorts and the bikini panties in WAMA green along with a black racerback bralette and a pair of WAMA green men’s boxers for my husband. After wearing them for just a few days, I quickly fell in love with the softness and comfort of the fabric. It really does get softer with each wash and feels super gentle against my skin. So when WAMA asked if I would join them again in November to help promote their Black Friday sales, I was more than happy to oblige.
In my second order from WAMA, I received two pairs of the high waisted underwear, in black and WAMA green, as well as the triangle bralette in WAMA green. I really loved the sexiness of the triangle bralette for a cute casual lounge look. However, it does not offer much support for large busts. I cannot wear it under anything that is tight or at all clingy to my chest area. Honestly, this bra works best with an oversized button down shirt. It holds my breasts up enough so my nipples aren’t tickling my belly button, but it also gives me that 4-boob look if my shirt is the least bit skin-hugging. The triangle bralette is super comfortable though if you don’t want that feeling of compression that many bralettes and other bras can cause. And I am certain that it is an absolutely fabulous bralette for smaller busted women.
Despite its minimal support, I did like the triangle bralette enough to try it in black. Plus I wanted to size down from an X-Large to a Large because the band size was just a little too loose on me in the X-Large.
So I took advantage of WAMA Underwear’s Black Friday sales and purchased myself the triangle bralette in black in a size Large and a pair of black boy shorts to match. And then I wrapped them up and stuck them in my own Christmas stocking to surprise myself! The Large bralette does fit much better in the band and very similarly in the cup as the X-Large does, so I am glad that I tried the smaller size.
I really cannot express how thrilled I am with my new collection of hemp and cotton under garments. I now have 2 pairs of boy shorts, 2 pairs of high waisted panties, 1 pair of bikinis, 1 racerback bralette, and 2 triangle bralettes and Jeff has 1 pair of boxers. And now I am ready to try out some of WAMA’s new colors. They have recently added the color Hemp to their line as well as four different shades of Nude. I am pretty much loving all of them!

Oh, Shelbee…you make me laugh with the granny panties line! I wonder where that came from…grannies hanging their undies out on the clothesline? And, what about grampy pants? Where is the cultural reference for those? Anyway, why is it we put ourselves through such torture with underpinnings? I don’t know…I want to be comfortable yet supported, I guess. And, now I’m just rambling because what do I say about underwear?

Marsha, thanks so much! Why do granny panties get such a bad rap?! Who wants to be uncomfortable in their underwear? High waisted full coverage no wedgie underwear are the best! As far as grampy pants (hahaha that’s a funny phrase), I think tightie whities might be the male version of ugly underwear, maybe? Who knows? There’s too many darn choices anyway! And thongs have always baffled me…until I used to ride on the back of Jeff’s motorcycle, then thongs made sense. It was the only time I wore them (and sometimes just for in the bedroom). But I seriously never understood how women could wear thong panties all day long! I clearly could go on and on with much to say about underwear! Haha. And you will find lots more to write about for 1,000 more posts and beyond!

Aren’t lounging bras awesome? Unless, I truly intend to sit on my ass all day, I feel happier if the girls have some support. I need to do a post on my finds as well. Although, mine have admittedly been geared more towards not riling any fibromyalgia pain. These look great on you! I especially natural fibers around my vagina. I am with you on that, Michelle! I go braless if I truly am not moving around much. But generally I like to have on at least a sports bra or bralette so I am ready to hit my yoga mat whenever the mood strikes. This particular bra isn’t great for yoga, but the racerback one I have from WAMA is. I highly recommend these when do you need to restock. They really do get softer and better with each wash!

I wear a lot of leggings, I guess you could say I live in leggings because I do love comfort. With leggings you can’t wear boy shorts it really has to be NO underwear a thong or in some occassions a pair of shear to the waist pantyhose. Any other underwear will leave a VPL. Sometimes I do wear jeans if it’s absolutely a must and when I read about your WAMA hemp undies I have to give them a try. I searched Amazon and they have lots and lots of WAMA panties but not the boy short type like you have on. The only ones I could find like yours are it the men’s apparel section, so I am wondering are you wearing your husbands undies or am I not looking in the right places. The underwear do look comfortable but I thinks your boobs may be a little large in that bra. I’m thinking it may be uncomfortable wearing that for a whole day. I love your boobs so I am just commenting because I care and I wouldn’t want you to end up with sore boobies.

Thanks so much, Jamie! Actually, this brand of hemp underwear is only available on their website. I am wearing the women’s boy shorts, not my husband’s. Although the men’s styles have a bunch of different fits as well. If you click through the links in the post, it will take you straight to the exact ones that I am wearing. As for the bra, I mentioned in the article that it really is just good for lounging because it does not offer much support for larger busts. It is actually very comfortable though. I would not go jogging in it because my boobs would fall right out. But if I’m just chilling at home, it’s perfect. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
