Heading into the Sun with Rosegal
I know in Thursday’s post I said I was taking a blogging break as I head off for vacation. But then some dates were changed for posts that I am obligated to share. It’s okay though because I am all packed and hitting the road later today and had some time to share with you one of my new swim suit from Rosegal. And yes, it is already packed in my suitcase for Asheville!
I have been wearing the same swim suit for the past 3-4 summers and it was high time that I got me some new ones. I was super hesitant about ordering online and even more hesitant about choosing a two piece. Eeek. But I took all of my measurements about 15 times to ensure proper fit, had my husband double check them for me, and went for it! I have to admit I am really, really happy with the swim suits that I chose.
This cat bikini set was available in black and white. Unfortunately, both are sold out. When I ordered, I really wanted the black but it was sold out in my size. A white swim suit can be kind of intimidating especially when I am already going out of my comfort zone and ordering a two piece. Along with the fact that I am translucently pale, I have to say I was a little bit scared of how these photos would turn out!
Here’s a little secret though…I plan on bringing milky white skin back into fashion, my friends! No tan for my delicate epidermis, thank you very much. By the way, I have not worn a two piece swim suit in over 20 years! I am embarrassed to admit that I fell prey to that old line of thinking that anyone over 30 had no business wearing a bikini. And over 40…no way. Now I laugh at my silliness for thinking such things. So here I am…still a bit nervous sharing these photos…45 years old, pale as the day I was born, sporting a white cartoon themed bikini…and loving it!
The fit ended up being perfect and the swim suit coordinates in the most amazing way with the other swim suit I ordered. So I got four swim suits out of two! I think that is the best way to get the most bang for your buck…get two swim suits that you can mix and match. Variety is the spice of life, after all! Stay tuned for three more short posts featuring the second swim suit as well as the two ways they can be interchanged.
If you are looking for some cute swim suit options this Summer, definitely check out the Rosegal 6th Anniversary Carnival! Use code RGIWD at checkout to receive up to 23% off your entire order. This sale is going until July 7, 2019.
And don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone straight into the sunshine! But remember to wear sunscreen! Or add a kimono for protection!
Keeping it on the edge,
Shelbee

Well, look at you in your kitty suit. The cat face boobage is hilarious! And the cat ears!!!!! THAT would make for
interesting tan lines, so good thing you’re opting out of tanning.
Hope you had a GREAT time in Asheville, looking forward to your post(s) about your trip!

Thanks so much, Anne! I will definitely be posting about Asheville! I will be meeting up with Jennie, Jess, and Becky on Wednesday. Yay! And one of the best things about not tanning is not ever having to worry about tan lines!

Thanks, Nancy! It really is scary putting swim suit photos out there! And the entire park maintenance crew was watching this photo shoot. My word, that was stressing me out! But I stayed calm and casual!

You look darling in your new swimsuit Shelbee! The cat faces on the top have that perfect sense of humor that all of us could use in our bikini wear! 🙂 If I owned this suit I’d be tempted to use my fabric markers and coloring in one or two of those cat faces. Probably one on a but cheek for sure! 🙂
Your creamy skin looks beautifully healthy and I’m sure you’ll be applying lots of good sun screen to keep it that way! Have you watched any of the uTube VLOGs of dermatologist, Dr. ANDREA DRAY? She is so smart, articulate and a consummate professional. She’s also straightforward, frank and witty. I’m just loving her vlogs. I’ll send you a link.
HAVE FUN!!!

Aw, thanks so much, Jude! I may have to consider some fabric markers for my kitty faces! A little attention on a butt cheek is not a bad idea! I received the link for Dr. Andrea and have watched the video. Lots of great information, for sure! Thanks so much for sharing! One of my favorite things about not sunning is that I never have to worry about tan lines!
