Guest Post: Pajamas and Track Pants for Daytime Wear

When we talk about street style, we have to start with pajamas and track pants because these two items never go out of fashion for our street style heroes. Just like jeans, these two wardrobe items are no more seasonal. As we are seeing that there’s no difference between night and day wardrobes, these two items have long been on trend. They’re cozy, sleek and easy to style up or down, you could wear any of them, anytime, depending on how you style these items.

Every woman wants to go out in her most comfortable clothes and comfort is still seen as in fashion nowadays. If you are also a street style hero, then track pants and pajamas will remain at the top of your list of favorite trends for 2018! It depends, of course, a bit on how you style these items.

Being a true fan of track pants, pairing vibrant track pants with neutral, laid-back toppers along with sleeveless turtlenecks, sheer tops, or bell-sleeve blouses proves that subtle additions create maximum impact.

Another favorite way to style track pants is with a pair of sleek heels. Because the track pants can occasionally look a bit sloppy, the heels ensure that you can elevate them enough for daytime wear. You can then add a dressy sweater to complete the look.

Now let’s talk about pajamas. Track pants are great, but what do you think of the pajama trend? You either hate it or love it! It is, of course, ideal to push away the outfit stress and not have to think about much when you just go out in your pajamas.

Leaving the house in the same outfit you slept in is not an easy task. It’s challenging and probably isn’t for everyone. Trying to convince yourself to wear pajamas in public is really difficult.

You have to admit that this trend is quite tricky to style. The same is true of loose fitting pajama blouses especially if you are going to pair them with the coordinating pajama pants. Some street style stars prefer silk texture pajamas while others go bolder with patterned pants. While styles and prints should be considered when deciding to try this trend, the fabric and fit are also important to take into consideration.

It is easily understandable that this trend is not always appreciated on the shop floor. But if you have a slightly flexible dress code, you can easily make this look work appropriate if styled the right way.  If you can pull off the pajama or track pant trend, you can ensure that you are extra comfortable during the winter days.

I almost purchased a PJ short set the other day, to wear outside the house. I think it was the look of utter bewilderment on my husband’s face that stopped me GRIN

Oh my gosh, Sheela! That is so funny. My husband might give me the same look! Although I wear a lot of kimonos and aren’t those essentially robes? And no one bats an eye at that trend. I think you, of all people, could totally rock the pajama trend! Thanks for popping by. Have a fabulous week and a wonderful holiday!

That´s my favorite trend of 2017! I haven´t bought any pajama set yet because I don´t think it goes good with flats (I am pro-flats since I had a muscle injury). But I´d love to see more women in them!

Oh I am sorry to hear about your injury, Helen, that prevents you from wearing heels. I do love my heels so I would have hard time tolerating an injury like that! But I haven’t felt comfortable yet with the pajama trend. Except, of course, kimonos, if those count. I could wear a kimono every day, I think!

Thanks for stopping by, my friend. Have a wonderful week.

Deena, thanks so much for stopping by! I don’t do really do guest posting very much anymore due to time and space constraints and I do not do affiliate linking or have an interest in working on a commission basis at this point. If that should change in the future, I will reach out to you. Thanks again! I hope you have a most wonderful weekend!

      xoxo
