Ditch Your Bra & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #77
I know, I know, it seems as if I have been touting Ruby Ribbon camis for months now. I want to be clear though, I am not a Ruby Ribbon stylist so my interest in sharing their products is merely to share a product that I think is fabulous! After wearing the full camis for a few months now, I wanted to try one of the demiettes for the warmer weather. So recently, my friend Carol sent me the Original Demiette to try.
*This is not a sponsored post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
I have to say that I love it! I have been wearing it instead of a bra for my 4 mile walks in the mornings…and then if it is not soaked in sweat, it is the perfect bra replacement to wear particularly under sheerer summer tops. I suppose I need to add a few more demiettes to my undergarment wardrobe!
On that note, I am hosting a Facebook trunk show with my Ruby Ribbon stylist, Carol, starting Saturday, June 23, and ending on Friday, June 29. If you are interested in trying some of these amazing products, you can join the Facebook group here: Shelbee’s DITCH YOUR BRA Ruby Ribbon Virtual Trunk Show. Carol will be sharing lots of information about Ruby Ribbon shape wear as well as some fun styling tips. There will be Facebook live sessions throughout the week, lots of before and after photos, and a raffle. If you have been interested at all in these products that I have been sharing, I would love for you to join the group and find out more. There will be no pressure from me or Carol, just lots of great information. I hope to see you there!
The moisture wicking fabric came in handy the day I wore my demiette to the Woodhenge Music Art & Sustainability Festival especially since the air conditioning is not working in the car! Too hot for a traditional bra, for sure!
And now your favorite posts from last week.
Regan of Nifty 50 and Fabulous has been killing it this Spring with her wedding and rehearsal dinner outfits! She shared another amazing look in her post, Another Wedding, Another Rehearsal Dinner Outfit. You can never go wrong with a little black dress that showcases gorgeous details like statement sleeves and cut out shoulders. Regan is simply magnificent in this look!
Laurie of Vanity and Me shared her new gingham swimsuit that has left me swooning! Check out her post For Luna – Swimsuits That Will Boost Your Confidence. This is seriously the cutest swim suit in red gingham and I adore the retro style. And Laurie is singing its praises for fit and “sucky-in” quality, so I definitely need to be checking out this brand of swim wear!
Monica of Jersey Girl, Texan Heart shared her post, Everyone Needs a Hobby. First of all, her outfit is freaking fabulous! I love the color choices and that amazing duster. I want this entire outfit in my wardrobe! Second of all, Monica’s message in this post is important and inspiring. This girl is amazing with the messages she shares and I am so glad that Monica will continue on showcasing her cool style and inspiring us all with her words!
Keeping it on the edge,
Shelbee

Just love this demiettes! It seems these are all the rage lately, I need to get one. I could skip wearing a cami! I just love that kimono and all the tassels on it!

Thanks so much, Carrie! You should definitely join the Facebook group to find out more information about these demiettes! And this kimono is from my boutique when I had it up and running so I have no links to it because they have long been gone!

Sounds good for working out too! Cool post dear!

Thanks, Nancy! It is great for my morning walks! Way better than an underwire bra!

I know I should be focused on the bra but I do adore that Kimono. and loving the sandals
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Linda! I don’t have any links for the kimono because it was a piece I had stocked in my traveling boutique which is now long gone! There are so many gorgeous kimonos out there right now that I don’t even want to attempt to find a similar one…because I fear I will end up buying like 15 more for myself during my search!

This one reminds me of a sports bra. It’s so fabulous to know they are working so well for you. I’m thinking you better start selling them, girl!!

Thanks so much, Jodie! I really do love them. But I don’t wanna sell anything! I have been down that road before…more than once…and I always realize too late that I am better off leaving the selling to those who do it best!

I avoid bras whenever possible…lol! Bralettes are my bff’s, especially in the Summer.

Good for you, Deb! I wish I could avoid it altogether, but I need some kind of support for these monsters! Ha. And a supportive cami or demiette is just my speed. Thanks for checking in, my friend!

It looks comfy and that is a must with bras- or bralettes! I may ditch the bra certain times, but lift is key!

Well being small chested has definite advantages. The other day I even forgot to put on a bra. HAHAHA! Anyway, I love your hair like that. So cute!!!!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Lisa! I have been wearing pigtails a lot lately. I love them and my hair is finally long enough to pull it off! And I am slightly jealous of small boobs! I wish I could go completely braless but unfortunately these babies need all the support they can get!

All these ladies sharing photos of swimwear and underwear – I need to get myself a sponsor, then maybe I will do the same! Fabulous photos Shelbee, you look amazing Hun. Thanks for sharing and hosting. Jacqui Mummabstylish
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Jacqui, thanks so much! You know, at first I was really hesitant and nervous about taking photographs in my underwear and stuff. But then I did it and figured who the heck cares? I am okay with my body and my husband likes it quite a lot, so really anything outside of that is irrelevant! Plus it makes other women feel better about themselves when they see me showing all my imperfections, right?! And it is liberating. So I say you should go for it, my friend!

Laurie
This looks very similar to one that I have Shelbee. Thay give a great finish on the back. I always have a back roll! Thank you for featuring xx
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Oh, I hate the back roll, Laurie! That’s why I wear kimonos all summer long! They are lightweight and hide that pesky back roll. Thanks for inspiring me with your amazing swim suit post. So fabulous! It was my pleasure to feature you.

So, I’m pretty flat (A cup) and pretty much live in a sports or coobie like bra but I will most definitely be recommending this to some of my bustier friends. Just last weekend one of them was complaining about the constant digging of her underwire. This sounds like the perfect solution!
Elizabeth | https://nattygal.com
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Elizabeth, thanks so much for spreading the word! Ruby Ribbon does offer all sizes from A cups on up! So you might just find something that would work for you, too!

Thanks for featuring me this week. I am working hard to build a wardrobe that accentuates my body and makes me feel special. FYI- the Ruby Ribbon cami’s are FAB!!! Perfect for smoothing everything out and are super comfy

Regan, thanks so much for stopping by and for inspiring us with your fabulous style. I am so loving my Ruby Ribbon camis and demiette. I am looking forward to adding some more essentials to my wardrobe.

Shelbee, You are absolutely amazing and beautiful in your photos. Thank you so much for modeling for us to show how well it fits you. EVERYTHING looks better with the right foundation UNDER!! I am so glad “your girls” are supported in the demiette! It’s also my personal favorite. I’m looking forward to sharing more at your virtual show!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Carol, thank you so very much for everything! And I just received a comment on this post from a woman named Tea…and it was in my spam folder and I accidentally deleted it and cannot recover it! So Tea, if to read this, please comment again…from what I briefly saw before my finger clicked the wrong button…she was asking if you could ship to Canada. I don’t know if that is an option or not! Gah…I feel like an idiot for accidentally hitting delete!

I love this bra! It looks so comfortable, supportive and also cute! Isn´t it hard to find a great bra? Why is that? I have been agonizing to find one for years, nowadays I am wearing athletic ones, very similar to their form as the one you are wearing in the photos, I really like this style.
Your first outfit looks great also!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Thanks so much, Helen! I think I have been searching my whole life for the perfect bra! Something supportive and comfortable. These definitely fit that description…finally.

Chrissy Rowden
that demiette (sp?) looks so comfortable. I know how it is when you find something that works, whether it be jeans, a bra, a BATHING SUIT (ugh!)…i feel like i need to stock up in all the colors etc. My only nude bra is coming apart right now so I’m in the market. And I am so impressed by you right now. You amazing girl. You amazing!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Chrissy, I believe you spelled that right! You should join the Facebook group for the virtual trunk show and see if this is something you would like to try. No pressure at all, but totally worth checking out! I love the camis, but the demiette has completely changed my summer undergarment game! And thanks for the lovely compliment, my friend! I just keep posting my pictures of myself in my underwear like it’s everyone’s business! hahahaha

Em
Snagged me with your post title! I went from intrigued to impressed! You get great support from that demiette…
I would have thought the girls would be looking for water, but that fabric is on the job. I think I’ll have to be sampling one of these for mahself. Just need reassurance that it’s comfy, cool and not constricting…bc surely there’s a price to be paid for that support.
My first time here …you rock!
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Em, thanks so much! They are definitely comfortable and not restricting at all. They provide minimal support without the squeezing that comes along with other shape wear. Have you joined the Facebook group linked in the post? There will be lots of great information there over the next week and you can ask all the questions you have and my Ruby Ribbon stylist will be glad to answer them! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance! Heading your way now.

I have a huge lack in the boobage department so this particular bra design wouldn’t serve me. I’m very happy that you love it’s style, function and comfort Shelbee. For women who have ample breasts a product like this can feel like a miracle.
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Jude, thanks so much for reading! I am so happy with this product. I was shocked that it actually supported the weight of my boobs. But they do carry this product in all sizes from A cups on up…so it is quite literally suitable for all breast sizes.

Ada
I had no idea those were called demiettes. I wonder if they work best on sizes C and upper, if so I am in. But you look fab and confident in yours and I love the mix of boho+edgy look you created with your denim shorts, booties, kimono and pigtails.
P.S. Welcome by every day this week because I am styling a new skirt each day and I think you will love what I come up with, thanks. =)
shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com
Ada, thanks so much! I think I have a bit of a boho soul, for sure. I wear an H cup and the demiette holds everything in place for me! My understanding of Ruby Ribbon camis and demiettes is that they work for all bra sizes. I highly recommend them if you want to go braless! I will definitely be by to see what you are styling this week!
