Believe in Your Selfie
I suppose the message on my graphic tee speaks volumes, especially for fashion bloggers. A powerful message deserved an edgy look to go with it. So I layered a long plaid button down shirt on top in a traditional blackwatch plaid which is reminiscent of 90’s grunge. My graphic tee is in a very pale shade of blue which contrasted nicely against the darker blues and greens in the plaid. Dark wash skinny jeans, distressed lace-up booties, and layered thin necklaces completed my edgy look.
Do you have any graphic tees that really speak to you? If so, what do they say?
Keeping it edgy,
Shelbee

Love your updated grunge look, especially the boots!
I see so many cool graphic tees on blogs, but the only one I have is an Oregon Public Broadcasting shirt with writing like an old-time college tee. Oh, and the Old Bat shirt that I painted, which I’m wearing in my avatar. If the shoe fits…

Gah! I LOVE your Old Bat shirt! That is simply fantastic! Thanks for stopping by, Val!

I love this tee! It’s probably just as well that it’s sold out. I keep seeming to buy more and more of these fun statements–as if I need another one!! What I am very interested in is your boots! Those are so cool!!
Thank you for linking up to my Style Story Link Up Shelbee. Makes me feel good!

Thanks so much, Ann! I bought these boots about 6 years ago when planning my wedding. I wanted to wear combat boots on wedding day and I found a similar knee high version which became my wedding shoes. But when I saw these, I had to have them, too! I searched to no avail for a link to similar boots, but I guess they are “so 6 years ago”! But I will wear them forever!

Thank you so much, Claire! It’s a shame that it is not available online any longer, although I did just see the same shirt on the clearance rack at my local Kohl’s. (Exactly where I found mine!) But you can always just have one made, too. It is such a great tee for us fashion bloggers, isn’t it?!

Is this a repeat post? If it is, sorry about that. I was saying… I love your graphic T and your whole outfit. And I used to have boots like that, sigh.
My favourite graphic T? It was a gift from a friend, which says, “Dressed to piss you off.”

Thanks, Melanie! (Your comment did come through twice, so I just deleted one. It happens to me all the time, too, when trying to post comments.)
I bet your fave graphic tee cracked you up every time you put it on! And don’t you hate when you realize some wardrobe piece you discarded years ago comes back around into style? I had really awesome black and white hounds tooth booties that I got rid of years ago and I so wish I still had them now. Boo for lack of wardrobe and style foresight on my part!
