Adventures in Thrifting Part 19: Blue and White Cotton Dress & Spread The Kindness Link Up On the Edge #765
I went on a little thrifting adventure a few weeks ago in search of green dishes. After finishing my dining set makeover, I decided that I want to replace my current set of dishes with a mismatched set of secondhand dishes…all in some shade of green. It will take some time but I do enjoy the hunt so I don’t mind. I did buy a few green dishes to start my collection but I don’t plan on photographing them until my collection is complete. Regardless of what I’m looking for when I embark on a thrifting adventure, there are a few areas that I always check…the first being dresses. I…

What to Pack for a Girls’ Night In
Whether it’s celebrating a major life event or simply unwinding after a long week, few things beat a girls’ night in. It’s a chance to let go of the outside world, relax, and enjoy some much-needed girl time. However, the quality of your time together greatly depends on your planning and preparation. Ensuring everyone has everything they need for the evening can be instrumental in creating a comfortable and fun gathering. As such, creating an ultimate list of what to pack for a girls’ night in is as important as the event itself. Girl Time Essentials Naturally, you need to bring the usual sleepover must-haves: your basic clothes and cosmetics.…

From Drab to Dreamy: How Micro-Renovations Create Big Impact in Home Interiors
Transforming a home doesn’t always require tearing down walls or embarking on a full-scale renovation. Sometimes, the most powerful changes come from the smallest details—precisely the principle behind micro-renovations. These subtle, targeted updates provide an effective way to enhance the atmosphere, functionality, and visual appeal of interiors without draining resources or requiring relocation during a lengthy project. In places like Wichita, where homeowners often strike a balance between practicality and charm, micro-renovations thrive on the principle of strategic upgrades. Instead of complete overhauls, they focus on updating fixtures, refreshing surfaces, making slight modifications to layouts, and refining aesthetics to breathe new life into outdated or uninspired spaces. The result? A…

Pink Peacock Wrap & Spread The Kindness Link Up On the Edge #764
Before I get to the pink peacock wrap, do you remember my burnt ochre dress from last summer? When I shared the third styling of that super comfortable dress, I mentioned that I had recently found the same dress in black. It was on clearance because it is last summer’s dress. But I don’t care about which summer this dress was manufactured for retail sale because when you get to my age all the summers start blending together and you are no longer a slave to the “current” trends. It took me decades to settle into my “old gray haired hippie” aesthetic and I have no intention of changing it…

School’s Out for Summer & Spread The Kindness Link Up On the Edge #763
It has been a very busy end of school season with last Thursday marking the final day for my kids. In September, Ralph will be moving up to 7th grade in the middle school and Archie will be heading off to 9th grade in the high school. The week before school was out for summer, we attended the Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Festival in Pennsylvania. After 3 days of rural camping, we came home dirty and exhausted but my kids still managed to push through that final week of school like superstars. Just before the festival, we helped Ralph complete a giant diorama for his final ELA project. He recreated…
