My Old Navy Rewards Haul and A Link Up

I challenged myself this week to do something I have never accomplished before! I had a $15 rewards certificate for Old Navy and I wanted to go into the store and spend as close to that $15 as I could. In the past, if had rewards I would inevitably spend hundreds of dollars beyond the rewards amount. That makes my rewards much more rewarding to Old Navy then it does to me! This time the rewards were about me and what I could score…essentially for free!

My method: I went straight to the clearance section without allowing my eyes to stray and see all of the lovely new items on display. Then I went directly for the accessories which are all heaped together in one little space. If I stayed right in this area, I thought I would be safe! And I wouldn’t have to venture to the fitting room where I certainly would have spotted all sorts of cuteness en route! I found 4 items that added up to approximately $15. I went to the register and after scanning all 4 items, my total with tax came to $15.00 exactly! However, I was told that the total amount had to be $15 before taxes…so I added one more item for $0.99!

Grand total for 5 items from Old Navy after my rewards were taken off: $0.43! Forty-three freaking cents for 5 items! And it was not just 5 pairs of socks or 5 candy bars either!

Here is what I got for $0.43:

1. This adorable pair of bright coral double strap flat sandals.

The clearance price tag on these was $5.99. Minus the rewards discount which they apply across all items, these beauties cost me $0.15!

These Faux-Leather Double-Strap Sandals in Coral can still be purchased online. There are also a variety of colors available. Price differs based on the color. The current online price for the coral sandals is $15.97. Or you can check your local Old Navy.

2. This neutral striped scarf which I also have in red and I love it.

The clearance price tag on the scarf was $3.99. Minus the itemized rewards, the scarf cost $0.11!

I cannot find this scarf online, however, there was a giant pile of them available in my local Old Navy so maybe they are also available in your local store.

3. These super comfortable and versatile black ankle strap flat espadrille sandals.

These were on clearance for $2.97, but with the rewards discount, I paid $0.08!

The black Espadrille Ankle-Strap Sandals are also available online for $11.50. These come in a variety of colors as well. Or you can check your local Old Navy store.

4. These cognac flat mules. They did not have my size, but they had my friend Amy’s size, so I picked these up for her.

These were on clearance for $1.47. Minus the discount, they came to $0.04!

I cannot find these mules available online. But again, they may still be available at your local Old Navy.

5. Finally, I had to add these adorable lemon print socks to make sure I reached the minimum amount to use my rewards.

These were marked $0.99. With the discount, I paid $0.03!

I also am unable to find the lemon socks online, but there was a giant bin filled with them in my local store!

So I got all of this…

…for 43 FREAKING CENTS!
