Lula Love & #SpreadTheKindness Link Up #18

As many of you already know, my weekly #SpreadTheKindness Link Up really is all about just that…spreading kindness. And each week I try to share something in a way that is me just spreading some kindness. After my pretty intense post from yesterday (the response was completely overwhelming, in a good way, particularly on Facebook), I actually am finding myself quite mentally exhausted today! So I am going to simply share some Lula Love with you all!

I am sure most (if not all) fashion bloggers reading this know of LulaRoe. Probably any woman reading this who has shopped for clothing in the past 12 months know the brand as well. Well, when it became a raging trend, I wanted to hate it. I really did. I resisted. I was all anti-Lula! Then back in the Fall, I had Shelbee’s Shoppe set up at a vendor show and I spotted the most fabulous print I had ever seen in the racks of the vendor next to me. That vendor was a LulaRoe Consultant by the name of Adrien Pacella and she is just fabulous. I quickly tried on the dress (it was a Carly), fell in love, and made it mine. I have shared that Carly dress on my blog twice already…here and here.

*This is not a sponsored post. All clothing items, thoughts, and opinions are my own.

After styling that dress multiple times and realizing how much I absolutely adore the fit, the high-low hem, the length, the movability and comfort of the fabric, and the print, I realized that I needed more! But at a price point higher than my average shopping threshold per item, I needed to find one with a print that screamed, “I am worth it!” No average solid color or striped Carly would do. So my hunt began. I did online searches with many consultants as well on Poshmark and other resale sites. Usually if I found a pattern that called to me, it wouldn’t be my size. So I continued searching.

Then two weeks ago, I had Shelbee’s Shoppe set up at another event.  There was a different LulaRoe Consultant set up at this event.  Her name is Hope Culbertson. Of course, I had to check out what she had available in my size. Lo and behold, I found not one, but two patterns in my favorite dress that yelled, “Buy me! I am so worth it!” I tried to decide between the two and pick just one, but this proved to be an impossible task as both dresses just kept tormenting me to hand over my debit card! And who am I to resist such pressure?

So I brought them both home and have already worn each of them. I ended up styling both in essentially the same way over loose lightweight pants with the same teal cardigan and my favorite rose gold slides.

You may be wondering how the heck I am spreading kindness with this blog post…well, I am shamelessly plugging a company that I wanted to hate while also shamelessly plugging two separate LulaRoe consultants who are working the local vendor circuit with me. Which is a hard job, by the way…if you have never done it. It is a really hard job. And all of us small business owners can certainly use all the help anyone out there wants to offer! So that’s how I am #SpreadingTheKindness. Plus these fabulous vibrant prints must make you smile, no? And making people smile is such a great way to spread kindness, too!

*Also notice my fabulous Fashion Rainbow scarf created by the amazingly talented Anne M. Bray!

So if you are in the market for some Lula Love, do stop by and check out my vendor-friends, Adrien Pacella and Hope Culbertson! And if you are in the market for some other fabulous on-trend pieces that I have personally handpicked, do stop by and check out what I have to offer in Shelbee’s Shoppe (That’s not really me spreading kindness, but I would just be a big dummy if I didn’t also shamelessly plug my own business!)

So, do tell me, have you got the Lula Bug? And what are your favorites?

And now your favorite posts from last week’s link up.

Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style is always a huge favorite in my link ups as she is featured as a favorite week after week! (Just a side note: I choose the featured favorites based on how many times readers click on the links. I simply cannot choose two or three on my own. I would end up featuring everyone!) This week’s post from Jodie, The Fab Collab Brings You Pastels at 50 Plus, showcases Jodie’s lifelong love of pastels. She even shared some adorable throwback photos in this post, so do hop on over and check it out!

And Celia of Resilientista Musings shared a super helpful post, 5 Questions to Ask Yourself Before a Wardrobe Make-Over. So if you are struggling with what to wear or how to upgrade your closet, do stop by and have a read. There are some really amazing tips!

Now it is time to get linking! Have fun and make sure to keep #SpreadingTheKindness!
